The mission of Foundation is:
- to discover, develop and celebrate the highest point of human excellence as experienced and expressed in the performance arts, and
- to inspire mankind to achieve its greatest vision of itself through this transformative medium.
These aims also are expressed by the Foundation's motto:

In 2007, Apogee began its second decade of operations with the most ambitious and successful year in its history, during which it undertook the global expansion of its programs and consolidated its position as a leading force in the performing arts world |

During the 2007/2008 season, Apogee continued its robust expansion around the world, including with the introduction of international vocal and choral programs under the auspices of the its Synergy Programs, which are designed to foster both artistic and human excellence in Foundation beneficiaries |
