Award Applications & Requirements

The informational requirements for any Apogee Awards application are as provided below, and the audio/visual materials required for specific awards can be viewed by clicking on the links shown below for the specific type of award being applied for. Applicants who perform in non-Western or non-Classical disciplines may submit analogous materials designed to similarly demonstrate the applicant’s full range of styles and skills in their specific artistic field.

Because the qualifications for participating in any Apogee program inherently include achieving the "apogee of human excellence", any awards or benefits from the Foundation will be immediately forfeited in the event that: (i) false or misleading information is provided, (ii) the applicant behaves in a manner that is inconsistent with the Foundation's reputation or values, (iii) the applicant uses illegal or harmful substances. Detailed requirements for participation in any Apogee programs are contained in The Apogee Foundation Program Candidacy Agreement, which must be submitted together with any application to the Foundation. Applicants should contact the Foundation by e-mail to obtain and review a copy of this agreement prior to submitting any application materials.

Applicants for any Apogee programs should provide the following information:

  • Full name
  • Affiliated institution (school, company or other organization) and the address and telephone number of this institution
  • Date of birth, height and weight
  • The applicant's permanent address and that of the applicants' parents (if the candidate is under 18 years of age)

  • The applicant's e-mail address
  • The applicant's nationality and passport or national ID number, preferably with a copy of the applicant's passport or other government issued identification verifying the applicant's date of birth
  • Full biographical information relevant to the applicant’s qualifications, including a history of the applicant’s institutional affiliations and instructors/directors under whom the applicant has studied/performed
  • If the applicant is a student, copies of the student's official school transcripts for the current year and three prior years (with an English language translation, if the transcripts are in another language)
  • At least one letter of recommendation from the institution with which the applicant is affiliated, and at least one letter of recommendation from an expert in the candidate's field of specialization
  • A recent photograph of the applicant (preferably in digital format)
  • The following audio/visual materials
