Communications and Public Relations

Position: Communications Consultant, Intern or Volunteer
Location: Flexible
Hours Per Week: Flexible

Description

Communications and editorial specialists are invited to employ their talents in a creative and rewarding role with The Apogee Foundation: a global philanthropic organization dedicated to discover, develop and celebrate creative potential.

Apogee is seeking volunteers to assist in the ongoing development of the Foundation's presentation and program materials such as website, brochure and PowerPoint content, strategic planning and program materials, and press releases and articles for publication.

The Foundation already has a number of highly developed texts for these purposes that can form the basis of a high quality, integrated communications image for the organization, to represent our mission and work around the world. So, while great creativity can be brought to bear, it also will not be necessary to "start from scratch."

Location is flexible (candidates do not need to be based in New York or even in the United States), and volunteers may work remotely on their own time.

Volunteers will work directly with the President of the Foundation and the other friendly and dynamic members of Apogee's program and development teams in creating effective and vibrant texts that will have a significant impact on everything the Foundation is achieving worldwide, and for some especially important and interesting programs that are now on the horizon!

Qualifications

Ideally, persons filling this role would have strong experience in communications, public relations or copy writing or editing, but we also are willing to consider other candidates who share our ideals and genuinely wish to further them.

We value most highly a strong attention to detail, consistent professionalism, timeliness and initiative, a belief in and commitment to the Foundation's mission, and a positive attitude.
