Job Description

The Apogee Foundation is an international philanthropic organization dedicated to the development of human excellence in the performance arts. The Foundation is a global leader in discovering, developing and celebrating human creative potential and in thereby empowering its beneficiaries to fulfill mankind's greatest vision of itself. Apogee is now building a fundraising and development team to take the lead in building for the Foundation's rapid global expansion. Location and time commitment are flexible.

Persons joining Team Apogee will work directly with the Foundation's President and several fundraising & development associates to implement a comprehensive fundraising and development program from a variety of sources including high net worth individuals, government agencies, national and international philanthropies, and multinational corporations.

Possibilities for Advancement

If the fundraising and development activities are successful, there will be the possibility to transition into a part or full time consultancy position with the Foundation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include: developing strategically appropriate presentations tailored to prospective donors; identifying, cultivating, soliciting and acknowledging sponsors; creating and implementing annual and special campaigns and appeals to internal and external constituencies; grant research and writing as well as other applications for funding; correspondence and reports for major donors; managing donor databases; and preparing proposals and reports for the Foundation's management.

Qualifications:

Candidates will ideally be computer literate and have a bachelor’s or master's degree and successful experience in fundraising and development. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in addition to excellent organizational and technical abilities.

Vladislav Agramakov in Performance at Apogee's 2006 Odessa International Music Festival

Pianist Vladislav Agramakov became only the second Apogee Merit Scholar music laureate ever selected at the age of 10 when a jury co-chaired by the Minister of Culture for the Odessa Province of Ukraine, the Director of the Stolyarsky State School and the President of the Apogee Foundation selected him for this honor during the 2005/2006 academic year.

He is shown here four months later performing at Apogee's first international music festival in Odessa, where he received both a Performance Award and a further scholarship for the 2006/2007 academic year.
