New York, London and Tokyo – The Apogee Foundation announced today that it is collaborating with national and international, public and private institutions to assist in the identification, development and promotion of elite performing arts talent across the nations of South Asia: a region of over 1.5 billion people, representing nearly 25% of the world's population.

All three of Apogee's major program divisions will be implemented for these purposes: Apogee Awards, Apogee Academy and Apogee Artists. These three divisions serve, respectively, to discover gifted emerging artists, to develop their full potential, and to celebrate their talent on the world stage, fulfilling Apogee's mission of "recreating the future of human creativity."

The Foundation will begin implementing these programs primarily in India for the benefit of participants from all neighboring countries, with developments already underway in Myanmar (Burma), Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as with institutions responsible for the Tibetan communities now resident in the region. Detailed information on each of these program areas can be found on Apogee's website: http://www.apogeefoundation.org/awards/index.php http://www.apogeefoundation.org/academy/index.php http://www.apogeefoundation.org/artists/index.php
